forgetful

what ho,
 to be honest , at the moment i feel that i'd forget my head even if it was screwed on!
 I went to the festival of quilts not last week but the week before and have told you nothing!!!

well, i didn't take lots of pictures (Fail) but i did do a workshop - can't show you it though as i plan to give a friend of mine the piece that i made for christmas
 i did however do an extra mini workshop on one of the stands - for the life of me i can't remember which but i made this -

A little embroidary - it quite cute (though i say so myself!
This week i have been mostly mending a gasebo cover for a friend so she can use it for her birthday! (my life is so exciting)

Skate dress again

The last couple of skate dresses have been for other people so i decided that it was time to make a new one for Tiny -

Its an A-line skirt, very short but looks good on her -  (pattern )
yes i did make it Tardis blue - makes a nice change from pink!

Knitting

How do,
 I've been doing some knitting in the last couple of weeks. some of it i can't show you - its for presents and i don't want anyone to see if before its presented.
 I've also knitted a boob (well 2  really).
 A friend of mine is going to be a midwife and asked for a knitted boob for helping with showing mums to be breastfeeding.
She gave me a pattern and i made this :

 Well, it gave us all alot of giggles!
I also think you should all see Tinys new hat. I didn't make it (its from M&S) but its so very very cute!

Something i really need to post

 i need to post some of these ( well 3 of them) - and by post i mean send in the mail as they are presents which i have, as usual, finished long after the birthday of the indended recipient!

Mum is 70

Hi,
 my mum was 70 last week. we had a bit of a party for her.
i had to make the party bags (i do like doing this).
 only 6 kids, 2 girls and 4 boys - 

ok, the pictures the wrong way round but you get the jist!

I'm not dead

Hi,
I'm not dead. Work has been really really busy. We are moving to a new building in the summer and so we have to clear out our labs of 50years worth of rubbish! i seem to spend alot of time in freezers at the moment!
 anyways - i have been making, just not as much as usual. so here are some of them

Sparkly frock and others

How do,
work has been hectic again but i have finally rustled up a few minutes to post some pics of the latest makes.

This is the skate dress I'd been working on - the lady wearing it did the crystaling.
 I'm quite chuffed with how it looks on ice.

and my work chum has had a big birthday (60th) so made her a cake as shes coeliac like me, and got her 2 bottles of bubbly. one is bubbly alcholic the other washing up liquid with its own apron!
